The 4th edition of the Festival de la Gastronomie de Saint-Martin (Saint-Martin Gastronomy Festival) left its mark, once again establishing the island as the culinary capital of the Caribbean. For twelve days, the event brought together local and international chefs, food lovers and gastronomy enthusiasts in a festive and convivial atmosphere.

A showcase for culinary diversity

Thanks to the participation of renowned chefs from the four corners of the globe, the festival was a veritable ode to creativity and flavor. Among them, chef ambassadors Shane Huggins and Ashanta Daniel perfectly illustrated the “Friendly Island” spirit with their colorful and flavorful creations. The public was also treated to interactive workshops, cocktail and grilling competitions, as well as four-hands dinners, all very popular with gourmets.

Memorable highlights

Among the highlights were workshops with chefs, where the public discovered unique techniques and recipes. The barbecue competition saw the best local talents battle it out in a festive atmosphere, while students from the Lycée Professionnel took on impressive culinary challenges. The prowess of the catering chefs, with a special mention for the talented Chef Jackson, also marked this edition.

The festival was also an opportunity to reward the best culinary establishments on the island. Les Galets restaurant, located in the gardens of Baie Orientale, was voted best table on Saint-Martin, confirming its gastronomic excellence. Other awards highlighted a variety of talents, including Sky’s The Limit for barbecue, and Wonderfood, the public’s favorite.

With passion as its central theme, the 2025 edition already promises new surprises and flavors. In the meantime, Saint-Martin continues to shine thanks to its exceptional culinary heritage, attracting both local and international clientele.
