About
Flight BH80-90 to New York. In the cockpit: a veteran captain flying his very last route and an ambitious co-pilot itching to take his seat. After more than ten years crisscrossing the globe together, this trip was supposed to be a formality. It turns into one disaster after another.
Written and performed by Benjamin Isel and Hadrien Berthaut, Issue de secours (“Emergency Exit”) won best humor show at the 2018 P’tits Molières. The two actors conjure everything themselves — the cockpit, the breakdown, a crash in the desert and the mirages that feed their squabbling — in a deadpan, absurdist style that owes a lot to Monty Python and Airplane!. Running time is about 1 hour 15 minutes, in French.
The pair packed La Chapelle in 2024 with their previous show, Polar Polar.
Two performances: Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are €30, or €25 for theater members, plus a €0.50 online booking fee per ticket. The theater box office opens every evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
