Frequently asked questions

Where should I rent a villa in St. Maarten?

Terres Basses, around Baie Longue and Baie Rouge, has the island’s most beautiful villas in a quiet setting. Orient Bay, Anse Marcel and the hills of Cul-de-Sac also have ocean-view villas.

Do I need a car if I rent a villa?

Almost always. Villas are often in the hills or in residential areas, far from shops. Book your car at the same time as the villa.

Villa or hotel for a family?

A villa or a condo with a kitchen gives you more space and lets you cook. A hotel or residence adds services: housekeeping, a pool, a restaurant. See also our guide St. Maarten with kids.

When should I book a villa?

As early as possible for high season, from December to April, and especially for the holidays.
