About
Spring 1946. France’s parliament has just passed the Marthe Richard law ordering every brothel in the country to close. At the Lune Rousse, a house of pleasure in a small provincial town, the women who live there and their regulars watch an era come to an end.
Maison Close, written by Elia Vivier, is the new production from Les Apatrides, the company behind Théâtre La Chapelle. The troupe bills it as a sultry, playful piece and has assembled a nine-strong cast: Maly Bourenane, Pascale Famy, Surya Petit, Alexia Müller, Tancrède Demont, Diane de Saint-Alary, Charlotte Clémenceau-Murat, Sébastien Ansquer and Swann Geoffroy.
Directed by Audrey Duputié, with stage management by Erwan Trotel. Performed in French.
Four performances at 8:00 p.m.: Friday, January 8, Saturday, January 9, Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16, 2027. Admission is €20 (€15 reduced rate), plus a €0.50 online booking fee per ticket. The theater box office opens every evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale November 1, 2026.
