Tentacules: BB brings back her one-woman show at Théâtre La Chapelle

Tentacules premiered at Théâtre La Chapelle in April 2026 and sold well enough that extra dates had to be added. It now returns to Orient Bay reworked, with new material, for two nights: Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.

Alone on stage, BB (Bérangère Mathot) switches between eight characters — a counselor, a shrew, a lecturer, a mother among them — each with her own voice, accent and quirks. Costume changes happen in full view, with no backstage to hide behind.

The writing leans hard into absurdist humor: Toulouse-Lautrec meets hermaphrodite mollusks, mosquitoes get an almost philosophical treatment and vegan activism is skewered along the way. Under the wordplay, the show pokes at clichés, radical positions and the oddities of language, and closes on an unexpected musical finale.

Directed by Erwan Trotel. The show is performed in French.

Tickets are €15, or €10 for theater members, plus a €0.50 online booking fee per ticket. The theater box office opens every evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
