Practical tips
Check-in
Arrive at least 1 hour before departure. Check-in closes strictly 20 to 35 minutes before departure depending on the company.
Passport or ID card
For St Barths, European Union citizens can travel with their national ID card or passport. Other nationalities must show a valid passport. For Anguilla and Saba, a passport is required for all visitors.
Luggage
Each passenger is allowed 1 carry-on and 1 to 2 checked bags depending on the company. Extra luggage is charged between $5 and $20.
Online booking
Online bookings generally need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. During peak season (December to April), advance booking is highly recommended.
Seasickness
Crossings can be choppy, especially between December and March. Consider preventive treatment if you are prone to seasickness.
Cancellations
Crossings may be cancelled due to bad weather or rough seas. Check the company website or call before heading to the port.
