Random Wind Charters

Random Wind Charters runs public day sails on two family-friendly catamarans, Random Wind and Random Wind Too, limited to 30 and 35 guests. The offer bookable on Viator is a full day at sea of about 5 hours, with lunch and open bar included.

Depending on the day, the boat leaves from Philipsburg, within walking distance of the cruise ships, or from Simpson Bay. The team emails the exact meeting point the week before: ignore the one printed on the ticket and check your inbox, including the spam folder. You then sail up the coast on cushioned seats, in the sun or the shade, with two stops in the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea, at Mullet Bay and Little Bay, in an order that depends on the sea.

At the first stop, you snorkel, try the paddleboard or kayak, float on noodles or swim to the beach, before lunch: chicken skewers grilled by the captain, green salad, Caribbean rice and baguette. At the second stop, everyone takes a turn on the Tarzan swing. The bar stays open all day and snacks are served between stops.

Adults (13 and over) pay USD 145, children 5 to 12 about USD 129 and under 5 ride free. Gratuities and hotel pickup are not included. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunglasses with a strap and reef-friendly sun protection.
