The signature beach restaurant of Orient Bay

Bikini Beach is one of the best-known addresses on Orient Bay, the most famous beach on the French side of Saint Martin. Open since 1991 and fully renovated, this beach restaurant is an institution of the beach village: a large pool surrounded by sunbeds, a covered terrace shaded by palm trees, direct access to the white sand and an open view of the turquoise sea.

The concept is well thought out for a beach day: continuous drink, snack and tapas service, sunbeds and umbrellas for rent on the sand, a pool open to restaurant guests, and clean restrooms with a fresh-water shower. It is one of the rare Orient Bay spots that combines restaurant, pool and beach in one place.

The lunch menu showcases beach-side classics: Angus beef tartare, homemade cod fritters, marlin rillettes, niçoise salad, burgers (including a mahi-mahi version), chicken spring rolls, duck breast with mango sauce and Creole dishes like chicken colombo. The bar serves crafted cocktails, strawberry-mango daiquiris, planter's punch and a curated rosé list. Snacks and tapas in the evening from Wednesday to Sunday.

Practical tip: the kitchen is open from 12 to 4 p.m., the bar stays open later. Reservations are recommended for lunch in high season, especially on weekends. Easy parking in the village, a 1-minute walk to the beach.
