Airports & Flights in Saint Martin
The island of Saint Martin is served by two airports: Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) on the Dutch side, and Grand Case-Espérance Airport (SFG) on the French side. Here is everything you need to prepare your arrival or track flights in real time.
Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM)
Located in Simpson Bay on the Dutch side, this is the island's main airport. It handles the vast majority of international flights from North America, Europe and the Caribbean. World-famous for its runway running alongside Maho Beach, where planes fly just meters above beachgoers.
Grand Case-Espérance Airport (SFG)
Located on the French side, this regional airport serves connections to neighboring islands (Saint Barthélemy, Guadeloupe, Anguilla, etc.). Ideal for quick inter-island hops on small aircraft.

Checks are carried out at the arrival airport. On the Dutch side (SXM), a valid passport is required. On the French side (SFG), Schengen area rules apply for European nationals.
When to book?
Fares are generally lower when booked 2 to 3 months in advance. Peak season (December to April) has the highest prices.
Recommended arrival time
Arrive at least 2.5 hours before your international flight (SXM) and 1 hour before a regional flight (SFG). Lines can be long during peak season.
