Cynthia's Talk of the Town
Authentic Creole flavors in the heart of Grand Case
Cynthia's Talk of the Town is one of the most celebrated lolos in Grand Case. These traditional Caribbean street restaurants are a cornerstone of the island's food culture, and this one perfectly embodies the spirit of Saint Martin's local cuisine: generous portions, bold flavors and a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. Located on Grand Case Boulevard, just steps from the beach, it has earned its reputation one plate at a time.
The food is prepared in full view around a large open-air barrel grill where meats and fish are cooked over charcoal. The menu is a showcase of Creole gastronomy: slow-grilled ribs, barbecued lobster, chicken colombo, spiced shrimp, conch stew and fresh snapper. Starters like the signature cod accras, Creole blood pudding and dressed crab set the tone. The sides, Creole rice, potato salad, fried plantains, coleslaw, corn on the cob and mac & cheese, come in generous portions. Journey cakes, those traditional fried bread rolls, round out every meal.
The atmosphere is deliberately simple and unpretentious: picnic tables, no-fuss plates and warm, friendly service. You come here for the taste, not the decor. Prices are among the most affordable in Grand Case, with mains around 10 to 20 euros and beers starting at $3. The restaurant accepts cash, credit cards and meal vouchers.
With 60 seats, step-free access and a team that speaks French, English and Spanish, Cynthia's Talk of the Town welcomes families and visitors alike who want to taste the real local cuisine of Saint Martin. Dine in or take away.
