Simpson Bay's festive spirit, right on the waterfront

Soggy Dollar Bar is one of the most iconic nightlife spots in Simpson Bay. Set in an open-air location on the dock at Palapa Marina, overlooking the yachts and mega-yachts anchored in the lagoon, this bar offers a truly unique setting for a night out in Sint Maarten. The vibe is laid-back yet undeniably festive, fueled by live music, a top-quality JBL sound system and a packed calendar of themed events that changes every night of the week.

The weekly lineup is one of the most diverse on the island. Tuesday brings the hottest Latin night with the Latin Sugar Band, DJ Euro, salsa classes starting at 7pm and a dedicated mojito bar. Wednesday is Ladies Night, featuring steel pan melodies by the Hybrid Band and complimentary shots for women all evening. Thursday turns up the volume with rock night, the Livin High Band taking the stage and 2-for-1 deals on Honey Shots and Jack Daniels mixes. Friday kicks off the weekend with Soggy Fridays and 2-for-1 Rum Punches. Saturday is cocktail night, where every signature drink is just $5 while DJ EM keeps the crowd moving. Finally, Sunday brings Percy Rankin and The Bonfire Band for a reggae session starting at 9pm.

The daily happy hour runs from 5pm to 7pm, headlined by the famous one-dollar beer that draws yacht crews, residents and holidaymakers alike. Among the signature cocktails, the Soggy Rum Punch and the Leg Spreader have become crowd favorites.

At the back, a pool table provides friendly competition between locals and sailors in a relaxed atmosphere. The bar can be reached by road (Airport Road) or by sea via the marina's dinghy dock. This open-air waterfront setting, with the sea breeze and the glow of the boats, makes the Soggy Dollar a standout destination in Sint Maarten's nightlife scene.
