The Kite Festival offered a wonderful moment of sharing and creativity in Saint-Martin. Organized at the Galisbay parking lot by the Caisse Territoriale des Œuvres Scolaires (CTOS), the event brought together around 350 children from various leisure centers across the island.

A creative morning during Easter break

This morning, organized during the Easter holidays, allowed the youngest to enjoy a fun, hands-on and friendly activity. Before watching the kites take flight, the children first took part in building them. Cardboard, paper, string and other simple materials were used to bring to life colorful creations, imagined by the participants themselves.

Time to fly

Once the workshops were finished, it was time for practice. Under a beautiful clear sky and with favorable winds, the children were able to fly their creations in a joyful atmosphere. Between concentration, bursts of laughter and pride in seeing their kite leave the ground, enthusiasm was visible throughout the morning.

The event also mobilized many adults who came to supervise and accompany the children. Thanks to this organization, the event took place in a festive and warm atmosphere, with a well-deserved snack to close the gathering.

Creativity at the heart of the holidays

Beyond the recreational aspect, this gathering highlighted the importance of collective activities during school holidays. By offering children the chance to build and then fly their own kites, this initiative fostered creativity, motor skills and the joy of sharing an outdoor experience.

With this great success, the Kite Festival once again confirms its place among the most popular family events in Saint-Martin.
