Sandbar SXM is one of the most colorful and lively beach bars in the Maho area. Located in Beacon Hill, just steps from the famous Maho Beach and its legendary plane-spotting, this venue blends restaurant, bar and party spot into one unmistakably tropical package. The open-air layout features loungers, umbrellas, Caribbean cornhole games and ocean views that invite you to stay well beyond lunch.

The kitchen runs out of an oversized food truck on site, serving a mix of Caribbean, Asian and Dutch flavors. Expect hearty burgers (the Mahi burger is a crowd favorite), tacos, seafood, the famous Flying Dutchman and a sushi menu available at dinner Tuesday through Sunday and at lunch on weekends. A dedicated kids' menu keeps families covered.

What truly sets Sandbar apart is its calendar of themed nights and daily rotating happy hours. Wednesdays feature an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet for $19.99 from 5 to 7pm with a DJ spinning tunes. Fridays bring reggae vibes with Percy Rankin from 6 to 9pm, free Prosecco for the ladies, $2 beers and $3 house mixes. Saturdays, Eduardo plays acoustic sets from 6pm with 2-for-1 Presidentes and $3 margaritas. Sundays, Dave and Kerry deliver a live music show from 4 to 7pm while kids enjoy free cotton candy, popcorn and face painting in the dedicated play area.

Sandbar can accommodate up to 150 guests and remains a genuinely family-friendly spot thanks to its secure playground. Reservations are recommended for parties of 6 or more. The dress code is non-existent, the atmosphere is relaxed, and access is easy whether you are coming from the airport or the hotels in the Maho-Simpson Bay area.
