Waï Plage
A gourmet beach club and Caribbean grill on the island's most famous beach
Waï Plage is one of the signature beach clubs on Orient Bay, set right on the sand at the quieter north end of the beach. The place combines a private beach with its iconic red and yellow umbrellas, a thatched-roof cocktail bar, and an open-air restaurant with sweeping views of the turquoise water and Green Cay islet.
The kitchen serves lunch from 11:30am to 4pm, with a French-Caribbean menu built around local produce: live lobster from the on-site tank, daily catch from a partner fisherman, meats seared on a lava-stone grill, ceviches, tropical salads, sharing tapas and the famous revisited bokit. Desserts include a chocolate lava cake, a fresh fruit tart and a daily crème brûlée.
Waï Plage also works as a full beach-day spot: sun loungers are available from 9am and the friendly beach service brings cocktails and food right to your seat. On Saturdays and Sundays the mood lifts with live music, DJ sets and zouk parties running until 8pm. Practical tip for visitors: book a lounger early in high season, and combine the day with a stroll to Coconut Grove or a sunset drink in the Orient Bay village.
