Outdoor terrace of Mezza Luna facing the sea in Nettle Bay
Italian cuisine, house-made pasta & beach dining

Mezza Luna

Nettle Bay, at Nettle Bay Beach Club

Italian dining directly on Nettle Bay Beach

Mezza Luna is one of those places that changes completely between the roadside arrival and the back of the restaurant. From the road, you arrive at Nettle Bay Beach Club, number 501. On the sea side, the restaurant opens onto a feet-in-the-sand terrace with covered tables, coconut palms, protective rocks and a wide bay view. That simple shift from road to water is what gives the place its character.

The restaurant is led by Ness, a restaurateur with deep experience in Italian cuisine who has long made Saint Martin home, with a menu shaped around Italian chef Damien. The identity is direct: fresh house-made pasta, pizzas, fish, seafood and grilled meats. Local sources mention five varieties of pasta made in house, plus ingredients such as wild shrimp, buffalo burrata, black truffle, Atlantic fish and daily catches depending on availability.

On the plate, Mezza Luna stays clearly Italian while keeping its beach setting in mind. Guests often point to the linguine alle vongole, truffle pasta, veal tenderloin pasta with cherry tomatoes, gnocchi, risottos, pizzas and fish tartare. For starters, burrata with San Daniele Parma ham and gratinated mussels appear regularly in descriptions. For dessert, the house tiramisu is the one to keep an eye on.

The atmosphere works for a waterfront lunch as much as for a softer dinner once the terrace lights come on. The sea-facing tables are the ones people ask for first, so booking is useful, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. Parking is limited around the beach club, so arriving a little before dinner time helps avoid a last-minute search for a spot.

Mezza Luna sits within easy reach of Baie Rouge, Terres Basses and Marigot. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and opens from 9 am to 9:30 pm Monday through Saturday according to the 2026 hours provided.
