Disney Caribbean itineraries are putting St. Maarten back on the map. On July 1, 2026, Disney Destiny made its first call in Philipsburg on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean sailing from Fort Lauderdale. A typical shore day allows morning disembarkation and evening all-aboard, with time for town, a nearby beach or an excursion, including over to the French side.
Officials say the schedule expands after that: a handful of Disney calls in 2026, then about 14 stops in 2027, with room for more in 2028. Travelers booking for the following year should therefore find more Destiny, Dream or Fantasy itineraries that include the island than in 2026.
Philipsburg is familiar ground for Disney. The Magic and Fantasy called here regularly in the past. With Destiny in service since late 2025 and more ships still to come, including Believe in late 2027, cruise guests gain more windows to step ashore on a family sailing.
Eastern and Southern Caribbean itineraries already online list several St. Maarten calls. Reaching the announced 14 stops will still depend on further sailings being published for late 2027 and early 2028. Once ashore, the day unfolds in Philipsburg: Front Street, nearby beaches, and easy day trips toward Marigot, Grand Case or Orient Bay for a taste of the French side.
